The Q7 comes in Premium, Premium Plus, or Prestige trims and also with TDI or 3.0T engines. The Premium trim has 18-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, roof rails, programmable power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic wipers, 8-way power front seats, and a classy leather interior. The middle row seat is split 40/20/40 and reclines. Also inside as standard features are an auto-dimming rearview mirror, the Multi Media Interface (MMI), Bluetooth, and an 11-speaker sound system including 6-CD changer, iPod connectivity, and satellite radio.
The Audi Q7 Premium Plus adds LED running lights, xenon headlights, panoramic sunroof (an option for the Premium), auto-dimming power-folding mirrors, driver memory functions, navigation system (also an option for Premium), an Bose surround sound. Also, a rearview mirror helps drivers to back up safely and see objects that may be in the way. With the Warm Weather package, the Q7 receives four-zone automatic climate control, manual sunshades for rear doors and tailgate, and a deep-tint panoramic sunroof.
The Q7 TDI Prestige increases the wheel size to 20 inches (an option for the Premium Plus) and also adds adaptive headlights, keyless entry and ignition, blind-spot warning system, power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and also the Warm Weather package. The 3.0T S line Prestige includes all those features in addition to an even tougher supercharged V6 engine, upgraded wheels and outside trim, and headlight washers. Drivers can also choose to add 21-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround-sound audio system.
Other options available for all trims are rear side airbags, the Towing package, and the Cold Weather package, adding heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.
The 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in the 3.0T Premium and Premium Plus pumps out 272 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque. The 3.0T S upgrades this engine to 333 HP and 325 lb-ft. An 8-speed automatic transmission along with all-wheel-drive comes standard. The EPA rates fuel economy at 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway/18 mpg combined.
In the Q7 TDI, a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel produces 225 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque, receiving fuel economy of 17/25/20.
Audi does not skimp on safety features for the Q7. The car comes standard with antilock brakes, traction/stability control, front seat side and side curtain airbags, and rear parking sensors. Other features include a rearview camera, standard on Premium Plus and Prestige, and a blind-spot warning system on the Prestige. Second-row side airbags are available as an option.
